The Phillips II Plus Roofing Screw was designed specifically for metal, plastic, and fiberglass roofing applications. Different points are available for both wood or metal structures.

Drill or Sharp Points

• A drill point is needed when attaching roofing to metal studs.
• A sharp point is utilized when attaching to wood structures.
• The sharp point can be used with pressure-treated lumber.

Prevents Rusting

Proprietary Evercote gray coating on the sharp-point roofing screw offers a lifetime guarantee against rusting. See the package for the yellow oval on screws for pressure-treated lumber. The drill-point roofing screw is used for metal and therefore does not offer a lifetime guarantee against rust.

ACR

ACR stands for anti-cam-out recess. There are ribs on the driver bit that engage the patented recess to reduce stripping, provide increased torque, enhance off-angle drivability, and offer a stick fit that makes screw driving easier. Phillips II Plus Screws can be driven with a standard square bit, a Phillips Bit, and a Phillips II Plus Bit. For the features of the patented ACR system, we recommend the Phillips II Plus Bit that is included.
