Engineered for all types of backer boards. No matter what type of board
or light-gauge steel you use behind your tile, Phillips II Cement Board Screws are
the best choice for fastening.
When fastening cement board before tiling, it is important that the fastener head is driven in flush to the board without countersinking or marring the board itself. Phillips II Cement Board Screws have a unique patented knurling under the head that grinds the rock to a fine dust, allowing the screw to sit more evenly for better tile adhesion.
Phillips II Cement Board Screws have an extra-sharp threading and gimlet point to drill faster. The patented ACR ribs inside the recess of the screw match up with the ribs on the driver bits. This rib-to-rib connection allows for more torque without stripping the screw head.
When securing cement board, it is the head of the screw that fastens the cement board to the material under it. The Phillips II Cement Board Screw has a larger head, thereby increasing the pull-out value and adding strength where it is needed. The stamped textured head also allows for better spackle adhesion.
Phillips II Cement Board Screws are sized 9 x 1-5/8" for attaching material up to 5/8" thick.
