Phillips, the people that originally developed the Phillips drive system have developed the next generation in screw driving technology; ACR® Phillips II®. ACR was developed for the aerospace industry to avoid costly head stripping and to assure easy insertion and removal of screws during assembly and maintenance. The Phillips II system creates a stick fit that make screw driving easier.
Phillips II screws have "ribs" in the recess of the screw. The ribs mate with the ribs found on the
PlatinumTM Phillips II ACR driver bit. This rib-to-rib connection allows for driving in and backing out the screw. You will never have a stripped screw that can't be removed.
All Phillips II screws can be driven with standard Phillips driver bits, however for rib-to-rib connection Phillips II Platinum driver bits are recommended.
Phillips II screws
- WON'T STRIP
- WON’T SNAP
- CAN DRIVE OFF-ANGLE
- ALLOWS FOR MORE TORQUE WITH LESS PRESSURE
